8 Years
{ To Christopher }
Not only am I happy we've survived another anniversary but we've also survived the notorious seventh year of marriage. Now stepping into our eighth year, let's celebrate and move forward with laughter and try to spice things up a bit. {The modern gift for the eighth anniversary is lace. That's a confirmation, right?}
As for the laughter, here are some quotes I found for us to enjoy.
It's so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life. ~Rita Rudner
Never go to bed mad. Stay up and fight. ~Phyllis Diller
Love is one long sweet dream, and marriage is the alarm clock. ~Author Unknown
Spouse: someone who'll stand by you through all the trouble you wouldn't have had if you'd stayed single. ~Author Unknown
But I'd like to end with the following.
A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person. ~Mignon McLaughlin
Happy Anniversary Christopher. Thanks for letting me annoy you for so long.

Real Large Format Polaroid Photos by Astyn Richard.
Photographs were taken in the Old Courthouse in my hometown of Monroeville, Alabama where our ceremony took place and also where the beloved and powerful story "To Kill a Mockingbird" took place. The interior of the Old Courthouse was the model for the movie's courthouse scenes. This year, July 11 exactly, "To Kill a Mockingbird" celebrated its 50th anniversary of publication. Over those 50 years, it has impacted numerous readers around the globe and particularly my husband, where the impact is evident in naming our first son Atticus.
