September is Architecture Month

There are so many great events in September, especially in Memphis when The American Institute of Architects, Memphis Chapter better known as AIA Memphis has designated the whole month as Architecture Month. They are packing in tons of events for the Memphis community to celebrate and learn about great design in the field of architecture. There will be a film series including one I’m personally excited about ~ “Citizen Architect,” architectural walking tours of Memphis, and public events and lectures that include educational events for kids and students who want to explore the field of architecture.

Go here to visit the AIA Memphis Architecture Month 2010 website for all events. The first event starts next Tuesday at 11:45 am, a walking tour of Court Square.

Rudimentary napkin sketch of Memphis skyline by me. Here are better examples from ArchRecord's Napkin Sketch contest.
