Guest Music Mix {Dylan}

This week, the guest mix comes out of Los Angeles, California one of the best places for good music right now.  I was going to snag so many songs from one of my favorite blogs Eat Drink + Be Merry by art director/photographer Dylan Ho that I just asked if he would create a custom mix for us. He and his wife Jeni who also has a great food blog Oishii Eats has agreed to do an interview that will be featured later on the blog.  For now, enjoy Dylan's great mix listed with his description below. Stay tuned to hear on the sidebar music player what song he's selected for each day. Thanks Dylan!

M / Arcade Fire / This AF song has a nice "80s / Blondie" feel to it and sounds electronic at the same time. It has a nice energetic feel that makes Mondays seem not so mundane.

T /  Bon Iver
/ I was fortunate enough to see Bon Iver perform a sunrise concert at the Hollywood cemetery.  At 5:45 am, I held a cold beer along with 2,000 other fans and listened to Justin Vernon.  Hearing this song in a cemetery was haunting yet poignant.  It just made the song even more beautiful.

W /
The Radio Dept. / Long been a fan of The Radio Dept and their solemn shoegazey style. This song was their break into the mainstream and it's just a fun dancey song.

TH /
Starfucker / Love the simplicity of two guitars working together to bring out a nice beat. The singing is lazy, yet very chill.

F / Body Language / This is a slow jam without being called a slow jam and is masterfully done by the very talented Toro y Moi of South Carolina. It conjures up the feeling of slow dancing on a cloud.
