Love Kicks

This is one of my favorite moments from last year. Atticus and I spent a week vacationing with my immediate family and about 25 other relatives. It was wonderful. I had a chance to catch up with family, some I haven't seen in over five years, but even with Atticus I felt we were having a chance to catch up without all the day-to-day distractions of work and school. We got to really play.

Thanks to my sister Sophea for capturing this photo of Atticus kicking me, lovingly, of course, on one of our stops in Cozumel, Mexico, not long after she flew off the motorcycle she was riding (while holding my camera.) If she hadn't cradled the camera like a baby, it might not have been possible to even take this photo. She took the scratches instead (thankfully only just scratches). She's pretty amazing.
