Just a short trip from Memphis is a hot spot for indie music performances in what seems to me an unlikely place ~ Oxford, Mississippi. The lofty venue in the historic square snagged several of my favorite bands not seen in Memphis. This very time exactly two weeks ago, my brother John, Christopher and I were enjoying the intensely happy music of Brooklyn-based duo Matt and Kim. Based on the upcoming schedule, it looks like I’ll be making more trips down to Oxford very soon.
