Well-deserving of the O-wow label is a project published in the latest issue of Architectural Record. Brand + Allen's renovation of 185 Post Street in San Francisco literally made me say "Wow!" 
The architects took the 1908 masonry structure shown in the photo on the left and encased it in fritted glass box, an approach that reminds me of one of my favorite artists Christo. Instead of restoring the old or giving a "facelift" to the existing building, they have created, as indicated in the article, the effect of a large scale museum case displaying an architectural artifact.Click here to read more on the project.
