As this year is the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, Memphis is celebrating the whole week thanks to the Shelby Farms Park Conservancy and their sponsors. I just realized we were in the midst of it as a fundraiser gala has already kicked off Earth Week on April 16.
Sanctioned events happening today include the Rhodes College Environmental Film Festival and gardener/writer Felder Rushing at the Memphis Botanic Garden talking about green practices.
