Strange Fruit Vintage started this year as an online store with several pop-up shop events throughout Memphis and, last week, hosted their first fashion show in what seemed like their official welcoming party. There was quite the crowd of fashionable Memphians celebrating in style but more importantly supporting the passion and hard work of Strange Fruit creator Shalishah “Petey” Franklin. In addition to the fashion, several live music performances kept the crowd energized.
Below are my favorite selections from the show’s collection. There were several men’s pieces but not as many timeless pieces I want to own from the women’s collection. I was also so enamored with the bags and belts with each outfit.
