Asian Bees Photography

My first introduction to the refreshing photography of Annabella of Asian Bees Photography are photos from a couple's engagement series {the first and third photos above}, not a fashion spread for a magazine as I had imagined. I just love it when the lights and life of the location is taken with full advantage. {The image in the middle is her new "vintage" portfolio book that absolutely expresses her style for vintage from a modern viewpoint. Below are select shots from her portfolio.}

Also, to my surprise, she works right here in Memphis which for me is very fortunate when I needed a photographer to help me with a fashion session for Mary Cashiola 's Memphis Flyer style blog. I'm the model and it's my real "fashion" so I knew I needed to call in a talent to "make me look good." I have complete confidence in her. Stay tuned for those photos in the next few weeks.

{By the way if you're curious where the name Asian Bees comes from, Annabella explains that it originated at age 10 when a school friend said something about A's and B's, she heard asian bees. She fell in love with the word combination, and it has stuck ever since.}

Annabella also organizes a photographer's meet-up with an upcoming fun outing next week.
