O-wow ~ The Effect of Multiplicity

I just could not believe that these were not 3-D renderings but real photos of a built project.
The UK Pavilion designed by Heatherwick Studio for the 2010 Shanghai World Expo has a airy skin made of fibre optic filaments which with its multiplicity and its movement with the wind work to create its "halo" effect. The filaments also work to bring light into the interior. Read and see more photos here.
