"Designer" Outfit {AIA Memphis Celebration of Architecture}

With all the planning for the AIA Memphis Celebration of Architecture and Awards Gala on the forefront, it almost slipped me to find an outfit to wear for the evening. The inspirational outfit and shoes shown above are actually designed by interior designer Kelly Wearstler and architect Zaha Hadid respectively. These women are powerhouses in their original field and have now won over new fans in the field of fashion.

Tickets for the event attended by some of the best local architects and designers are available to anyone interested in joining the cocktail party and awards ceremony. Details below.

Saturday / April 16, 2011 / Ballet Memphis / 6:30pm / $50 for licensed members & general public / $35 for associate members, interns, and students / Purchase tickets by downloading form here. / Tickets available until Friday, April 8 / Questions: AIA Memphis 901.525.3818

    I guess it is possible to make the jump between design and fashion. Must keep this in mind for future reference. Love the looks by the way. You could totally pull them off.

  2. Thanks. I could definitely see you going into fashion design.

  3. I came across Wearstler's new line a few weeks ago via the blog coco + kelley, and this was my favorite look. Usually you see clothing designers experimenting with lifestyle designs, not the other way around, but I like Kelly's work-you can see the architectual influence. Wonderful choice.
